Fall 2025 Strategic Sales Competition

Conduct a 15–20 minute one-on-one sales meeting with a potential customer for a chance to win scholarships, meet recruiters, and represent Towson University at a national sales competition.

Why compete?


  • Real practice: Run a complete sales conversation : needs discovery, solution proposal, objection handling, close.

  • Career access: Meet hiring managers, recruiters, and sales leaders.

  • Scholarships: $5,000 in total awards.


Prizes


  • 1st: $1,500 scholarship

  • 2nd: $1,250 scholarship

  • 3rd: $1,000 scholarship

  • 4th: $750 scholarship

  • 5th: $500 scholarship

How it works


  • Two weeks before the event: Contestants receive product/solution background.

  • Competition day: 15–20 minute meeting with a trained “buyer.”

  • Evaluation: Sales professionals (career sellers, recruiters, sales managers) score each stage of your process via live observation using the event’s evaluation criteria.


All buyers and judges are experienced sales pros.
